Pigs
Protein makes up an extensive part of a pig’s diet – a high protein pig feed ensures good growth and reproduction rates. If you’re feeding your pigs a complete pig food which meets all their nutritional requirements, it isn’t necessary to supplement their diet with extras.

Sheep
If you plan to, or think you may need to use a supplementary livestock feed for your sheep, it’s a good idea to introduce them to it while they’re young if possible. Lambs learn which feeds to eat from their mothers, as well as each other. An adult sheep could take 2 or 3 weeks to learn to eat an introduced supplementary feed; some will never accept it.

Goats

Country Harvest
Alpaca & Llama Pellets – a useful pasture supplement based on lucerne, and containing additional fibre sources including meadow hay chaff and sugar beet pulp, and nutritional levels of trace minerals and vitamins. Alpaca & Llama + Zinc – pellets with zinc oxide included in the formulation to aid the prevention of facial eczema, a potentially dangerous disease which is prevalent during summer and autumn. (Note that additional zinc supplements shouldn’t be offered with this feed without consulting your Vet first.)
