Jasmine Naden

Past Individual Rider Sponsorship

April 2013
Jasmine Naden has been riding since she could walk, although she only started at Pony Club in 2009 when the family moved to Waiuku. She has been a member of Waiuku Pony Club ever since, and her father Tony has been the club President for the same time. Jasmine is also a member of the Rosehill College equestrian team, having competed at the St Peters College run North Island Secondary Schools Dressage Champs in 2012 and 2013.

Jasmine had a very successful season in 2012/2013 with wins in the Franklin District Pony Clubs Closed Ribbon Days Commissioners Cup (for riders 16 years and over) and the Franklin District Pony Clubs Novice Senior Champion Dressage Cup. She started registered dressage in December 2012 with the aim of qualifying her pony My Questionaire for Horse of the Year which she did, competing against hacks due to her age, and placing as high as third in one of her tests. The combination has been wonderfully consistent in their dressage tests, accumulating 80 dressage points from the 5 registered shows they have entered.

My Questionaire is now for sale and his replacement, Charismatic Knight, is ready to step up and fill his shoes – already showing promise in the dressage phase, winning the Novice Cushionride rug at Auckland Manukau Dressage Group a few weeks ago. They will continue with dressage through the winter and also go to the Secondary schools ODE at Taupo in May.

Jasmine is grateful for the support of her father Tony who, as mentioned, is President of Waiuku Pony Club, is co-District Commissioner for Franklin District Pony Club and also helps manage the Rosehill College equestrian team. She is also grateful to Animal Stuff for our support of her and her horses, she has fed Animal Stuff feed and supplements to her horses as long as she has lived in Waiuku. She also acknowledges the long term support Animal Stuff has given to Waiuku Pony Club – her club!
