A branch of the Auckland Area Pony Club, Mangere Pony Club is located in Mangere Bridge, off Wellesley Road. Established in 1949, the Club leases just over 18 hectares of land from Auckland Council, next to Ambury Farm Park, where the Club is lucky enough to have riding privileges.

Mangere Pony Club’s facilities include a large sand arena, a 20×40 arena mainly used for dressage, a fantastic cross country course (upgraded by Mike Guilfoyle) which caters for levels from Pre-Intro through to Open, club rooms, wash down pad and stable, undercover tie ups, pens and overnight pens, and truck and float parking.

The Club offers on-site grazing for members, and allows non-members to use their grounds (when open) for a fee. Rallies are held weekly during the summer season, and the Club hosts a variety of events during both summer and winter, and we have really enjoyed supporting their events when we could over the years.
